About Aisha

When I was a kid, my mom and I treated shopping like an event. Our go-to destination? River Oaks Mall, with Marshall Field’s and Carson Pirie Scott holding court at each end. But Marshall Field’s was our true fashion playground. We’d lose hours wandering the racks, fingertips brushing fabrics, hunting for that one perfect piece that made us feel like we’d stepped straight out of a glossy magazine.

Denim jeans, graphic t‑shirts, flirty skirts, and beat-up sneakers were my whole world back then. I’d sweep through the racks and end up in the fitting room with an armful of 90s dreams: acid wash denim stacked over one elbow, tops with unapologetically oversized shoulder pads slipping from their hangers, and jackets so oversized they practically swallowed me whole. Under the harsh fluorescent lights, I wriggled into each look, tugging on a skirt here, lacing a sneaker there, then stepped back from the mirror and just stared—caught between who I was and the stylish, bolder version the reflection promised. In that cramped little booth, surrounded by discarded hangers and crinkled tags, it felt like my own private runway, and every outfit was a glimpse of the person I was about to become.

From those magical Marshall Field’s trips with my mom to the life-changing moments in fitting rooms, every rack, mirror, and unexpected combo has shaped the woman I am today. Fashion isn’t just what I wear—it’s how I speak, heal, and show up in the world, and Aisha’s Fashion Faves is where that love of style, identity, and pure, unapologetic passion finally lives out loud.
